From the time the sun sets, you'll be exposed to the whole gamut of night photography. The goal of every one of Erik's workshops is for you to walk out with all the information to take home with you to make photos just like the ones you see below.
Plus, These workshops are designed for anyone from 18-to-86 years old who wants to learn how to capture the beauty of the earth and night sky, no matter if you have a DSLR, Mirrorless, or even a Phone. We're excited to announce a special guest joining us for the August 26th -30th workshop.
Award-winning landscape photographer and KelbyOne instructor Ramtin Kazemi will be joining us for the workshop. Ramtin (Rammy) Kazemi is an award-winning Landscape photographer based in Canada. Ramtin started photography as a hobby. After picking up his first camera, he fell in love with it— especially photographing the outdoors. His passion for adventure in the wilderness and pristine landscapes is the driving factor behind his photography. Jay Grammond, a full-time professional photographer based out of Minnesota, will produce the photography workshop. In 2019, he took the reigns of an annual event called the Black Hills Photo Shootout, a meetup of hundreds of photographers, and has been organizing that for the past five years. It is a weekend of photography in the Black Hills with multiple instructors in multiple locations. He's been coordinating and producing Erik's Milky Way workshop for the last three years.

Erik hosts only one or two Milky Way workshops per year. Why? Simply put, he's a working pro and Has limited time to dedicate to these special small-group experiences. However, he knows it's the right thing for those ready to go beyond Print education, online training, or Photo Tours, so he dedicates one or two weeks a year to providing this type of Hands-on immersive workshop training sessions.
